Description of my work:
Her current work is based on images taken from small parts of antique film footage.
Laurine always had an interest in people depicted in old film. A sense of curiosity about who these people were and what lives they have had.
Completely anonymous, if not for the little marks these images make on history. Somehow they managed to surpass the tooth of time.
Through multiple media, Laurine is now exploring ways to recontextualize the lives of these people. Depicting them in a modern and graphic way to once again give longevity to their seemingly anonymous existence.
